Be There Parenting
Iowa’s parenting web site with resource information on how to be there physically, financially, and emotionally for children.

COMPASS
Iowa COMPASS is a free, statewide information and referral service for people with disabilities, their families, service providers, and other members of the community.

Early ACCESS Iowa
The purpose of Early ACCESS Iowa is to assist families in connecting with Early ACCESS and community-based services that address specialized child and family needs through a user-friendly system, which includes the following toll-free numbers: (888) IAK-IDS1 or (888) 425-4371.

Early Childhood Iowa
The state of Iowa’s initiative to empower individuals and their communities to achieve desired results to improve the quality of life for children ages birth to five years and their families. The initiative includes an alliance of stakeholders in early care, health, and education systems that affect young children in the state. The purpose is to support an integrated early childhood system for Iowa.

Food Safety
Iowa State University sponsors the Food Safety Project, which develops materials to give the public the tools they need to minimize the risk of food-borne illness. There is a simple “Food Safety Tip of the Day” as well as links to all kinds of food safety information.

Foster Care – Iowa Kids Net and Department of Human Services
Provides information for Iowans on foster care, foster parenting, special needs adoption, licensing and training.

Iowa Fatherhood
A site to help fathers be actively and positively involved with their children. The site features weekly “Did You Knows?” that provide tips and information designed to strengthen relationships between parents and children. Links are also provided to a variety of other sites.

Iowa State University Extension to Families
Provides information on topics such as child development, abuse and family relations, as well as newsletters to fit every parent’s needs and concerns.

Reducing the Risk of SIDS – Back to Sleep Campaign

The Back to Sleep campaign provides a variety of publications on the importance of placing babies on their backs to sleep to help reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
